My Values

Here are three core values that I will follow in making decisions as a City Council member:

  • Quality of Life: Auburn Hills is an Oakland County jewel, with its open spaces, trees and appeal as a livable community for people of all ages. I’ll also work to protect our excellent fire, police, recreational and community services.
  • Smart Growth: With a medical school on the way, five colleges attracting 30,000 students and great plans for our Village Center, we’re at a crossroads. I will make sure your voice is heard as we carefully plan our future.
  • Financial Responsibility: We’re a well-run, financially healthy city. I will put my strong business skills to work, ensuring that our resources continue to be used wisely in this time of growing economic challenges.

My Priorities

I bring expertise in media, communications, brand building and business to the Council. Here are three areas where those skills could make a difference:

  • Telling Auburn Hills Story: We are global business address, thanks to Chrysler. Sports fans everywhere know us for the Palace. Yet we’re one of the best kept secrets in SE Michigan. It’s time to tell our story and showcase our strengths.
  • Getting the Village Center Going: Nestled along the Clinton River, our downtown is a couple of beautiful blocks with a great future. We’ve invested millions. There are excellent master plans for the Village Center and the River Walk. It’s time to bring our downtown to life -- beginning with a Farmer's Market.
  • Working with Business and Listening to Residents: As a Planning Commissioner since 2004, I have come to know our many unique neighborhoods. As an auto industry insider and small business owner, I also understand how important local businesses are to our success.
